Pastor’s Welcome

Welcome to Evangelical Presbyterian Church! We are a congregation of about 350 with historic roots and a present passion for God.  Our desire is to be a gospel centered church.  The gospel is the good news that God sent His Son Jesus to be crucified for our sins and raised to life for our justification.  In Christ we find a complete provision for the people of God. We are freed from the shame and guilt of the past, empowered to live in fellowship with Jesus in the present, and guaranteed a future with Christ that provides hope in hard times and grounding in times of prosperity.  We do not claim to understand all these gospel realities completely.  Rather, as a congregation we a growing together in the gospel all the time.  We are a friendly and warm congregation that takes great joy in receiving new folks. We hope that you will join us and give us an opportunity to get to know you, love you and encourage you.

You’ll notice as you peruse the site that we have many places for you to make connections: children’s ministry, youth and family ministry, international ministry, divorce care ministry, campus ministry, a creative arts school, a large music ministry, and very active men’s and women’s ministries. There is a place for you here. If you need help finding that place don’t hesitate to ask.  I encourage you to attend our Inquirer’s Evening as well.

Worship is at the center of our life together as a congregation.   Our worship is joyful and Christ centered. Our services have a rich blend of instrumentation (we are blessed with many musicians). We select music on the basis of theology rather than chronology: we sing songs ancient and modern that glorify God according to Scripture.  Our worship services follow a general pattern of praise, confession, renewal and commitment.  In this way, the realities of the gospel are reinforced every week as we gather to worship the God who has made us and redeemed us for his glory.

I hope that you will join us for worship on Sunday mornings at 10:45 AM or later in the day at 6:00 PM. We have Sunday school for children and adults from 9:30-10:30AM and small groups that meet throughout the week. We are currently in a series on Communion with God in the morning and Paul’s Vision for Ministry in the Evening.
