Lead an Adult Class
There are 4 roles in every adult Sunday school course: leader, teacher, hospitality coordinator, and mission coordinator, all of which are small ways to make a huge impact in the church.
It is a tremendous encouragement to have men leading our adult courses. Group leadership involves welcoming attendees, leading a time of getting to know one another and praying before and after the teaching time. This is a small way for a busy man to make a huge impact in the life of the church.
In terms of teachers, we encourage men to explore, develop, and exercise the gift of teaching. Those who desire to must be men of exemplary character who desire not only to teach and have authority but to be taught and be ‘under’ the authority of the session as a member of our church.
Hospitality coordinators lead by encouraging members of each class to help brew coffee and bring food to make our courses warm and inviting for members and guests.
Missions coordinators lead by helping each class, each quarter, complete a service project. There are countless ways to serve and the missions coordinator works with Pastor Knott, the deaconate, and the course members to find and implement a service project each quarter.
Any and all of these positions are small ways to make a huge impact in the life of the church. The adult sunday school ministry is under the oversight of Pastor Knott, who is more than happy to answer any questions and will follow up with you as soon as possible.
