Music Director's Welcome
Welcome to the music ministry page on the website of Evangelical Presbyterian Church. I am delighted to lead a group of people that are committed to serving Christ’s body in a variety of ways. We strive to make our music diverse in style, thoughtful, engaging and excellent. Music ministry supports the preaching and teaching ministry of the word of God here at EP. We realize that music alone cannot change the heart of God’s people. We need the word of God to do that. But music, as Martin Luther put it, is ‘the hand-maiden of theology.’ We desire to serve the word of God in and through our music making. There are many ways in which our congregation participates in our work. You’ll find just a sampling of what that looks like here on the website.

Music at EP
Chancel Choir
Chancel Choir offers you the opportunity to be a part of leading in worship on Sunday mornings. We sing rich texts set to rigorous, engaging and dynamic choral music. We desire to honor the Lord in ministering to His people. We rehearse on Wednesdays from 6:30pm to 8:15pm. We welcome singers from high school age and up.
Messenger
Messenger is a chamber group of experienced singers who rehearse weekly on Sunday morning from 8:45 to 9:30am. Membership is by invitation and is directed by Rob Ellis.
Children's Choir Program
Our Children’s Choir Program will be a part of our Sunday School program where children will learn how to sing well and learn some of the great hymns of the faith. They participate in meaningful presentations throughout the year. Kami Visser, Debbie Freer and Marji Harding will be leading several vocal groups within this graded choir program.
Hand Bell Program
Bellissimo - This excellent hand bell choir is made up of experienced ringers who present challenging arrangements for worship service preludes, offertories and postludes. They also accompany Chancel Choir on occasion. Rehearsals are Monday evenings from 7:15pm to 8:30pm.
New this Fall is our Beginner to Intermediate group, ages 13 through adult. They will meet Monday nights from 6:15pm to 7:10pm. We also have a new Kids' group, ages 8-12. They will meet on Sunday afternoons from 5:00pm to 5:50pm. Both of these new groups will be under the direction of Cynthia Sawaya.
